The Lexus RZ in Wakanda Forever

The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e represents cutting-edge electric vehicle technology as envisioned by the manufacturer. Its performance and innovative nature are so impressive that they are now showcased in Marvel Studios' “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" movie. Let's see what makes this trailblazing electric vehicle (EV) worthy of one of the most technologically advanced civilizations in fictional history below. more The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” 2023 Lexus RZ 450e The Wakanda civilization is popular because of its incredible technology and prowess in the material sciences. While we’re sure that the RZ 450e isn’t made of vibranium, this fantastic EV fits Wakanda’s theme like a glove. Check out the mesmerizing chase scene where it features alongside Wakanda’s finest. You and the rest of the audience will be thrilled by the smooth-handling capabilities of the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e alongside its cabin's incredible level of sound-insulating construction. The roaring engine of the pursuing vehicle is practically undetectable when you’re inside the EV’s hushed interior, just like the RZ 450e’s electric motor. The action of the warriors inside is as smooth as the exterior styling of the RZ 450e. Their combined reactions are flawless in the face of high-tech fire, and the EV's steady ride allowed the spear to overcome the cannon. Here we'll dive deeply into the features that make the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e a vehicle worthy of warriors. The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e: Core Information and Ratings The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e electric vehicle comes with uniquely configured and programmed electric motors. In most electric vehicles with two electric motors, the pair work independently to run their respective axles and wheels. This isn’t so with the motors in the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e. Its electric motors are 100 percent variable in the output destination. This means that power from one or both can transfer to any wheels requiring it at a moment's notice. This motor configuration is spectacularly efficient, producing 210 and 107 horsepower with 150 kWh and 80 kWh units, respectively. While Lexus hasn’t yet released combined horsepower and torque ratings for this vehicle, they’re guaranteed to be impressive enough to wow EV enthusiasts across the globe just as they did the warriors of Wakanda. The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e will run for around 225 miles on its impressive 18-inch tires with a single charge or 126.7 miles in green efficiency mode. Its standard core setup is also capable of towing up to 1,653 pounds. The standard battery core of the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e includes a massive and ultra-efficient 75 kWh lithium-ion battery with a surprising 96 cells. The battery's architecture follows a next-generation 400-volt format. Impressive Safety Technology The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e comes with an array of high-tech safety features that would impress the most powerful of warriors. No great EV can go without a solid set of safety features any more than those warriors can go without high-quality armor. Drivers will find that the key to the ultra-safe ride of this EV is its combination of lane-departure alert, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking technologies. Even more impressive, the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e has an emergency driving stop system. To give you some added peace of mind, this system brings the RZ 450e to a complete halt when it detects an incapacitated driver. Safety isn't only important at high speeds on crowded roads. This EV's onboard automatic parking system is particularly advanced. It is a fully autonomous automated system capable of parking in all three traditional manners: backing up, driving forwards, or parallel parking into the space as needed. The sensor suite used to achieve this autonomous parking marvel is so incredibly sensitive that it will always detect traffic or pedestrians who move into its path as it goes. It will come to a complete stop when this happens for the safety of everyone involved. This makes the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e remarkably superior to vehicles without high-tech parking features and toe-to-toe with most that do. Infotainment and Entertainment Technologies Worthy of a King The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e has a massive horizontally set 14-inch touch-screen infotainment system. The configuration of the infotainment display in relation to the rest of the main console controls is well worth noting. For the driver’s convenience, most functions traditionally relegated to dials and buttons all over the center of the main consoles are now entirely accessible on the infotainment system. Additionally, it will have voice activation programming suites installed, among many others, so drivers can safely alter almost any setting with a simple command. Most of the functions that drivers can’t control in this way they’ll be able to manage through the buttons on the steering wheel. This control-type combination helps to maximize the road attention of drivers, making everyone on the road safer. The sound system equipped on the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e is even more impressive. It is a Mark Levinson 13-speaker, 12-channel premium surround sound version with a 1,800-watt amplifier. This makes it capable of playing the intense music loved by the Wakandan warriors at volume and quality levels that will intimidate any foe. The 10-inch head-up display shows vital vehicle and useful infotainment and entertainment information before the driver's eyes, further magnifying the union between the EV's safety level and its cabin tech features. Wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Panoramic View Monitor, and five USB-C ports are all standard at every trim level. USB-C ports differ from standard ports in that they can transfer data and power. The Drive Connect Cloud Navigation system allows drivers to make their way from point A to point B in the most effective and time-efficient manner possible. Find out more about the much-acclaimed 2023 Lexus RZ 450e at Lexus Stevens Creek and see it in action after “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” releases on Nov.11. What you see will impress you in either case, and both are worth your time. Feel free to contact us for more information on this incredible electric vehicle or other hyper-efficient electric options.

Lexus Safety

Which Safety Features Does Lexus Have?

Lexus believes that collision protection starts with prevention, so vehicles from Lexus offer many safety and driver-assistance features to help keep everyone safe on the road. Collisions occur for various reasons, including driver error and acts of nature, and sometimes can't be avoided. When you can't avoid a collision, you need to know that your vehicle is built to help protect you and your passengers. The Lexus Safety System is a comprehensive suite of advanced technologies. Here are the Lexus Safety features explained: Advanced Airbag System Lexus Safety Features Each Lexus vehicle features a high-strength frame and advanced airbag system to help protect you and your passengers should your Lexus be involved in a collision. You get a 10-airbag system, including two front impact airbags, two front, and two rear roof-mounted side-curtain airbags, and two front and two rear seat-mounted side-impact airbags. Standard Safety Features Your Lexus has many features that contribute to your safety, such as a four-wheel anti-lock braking system with brake assist and an electronic brakeforce distribution that helps you stop on a dime when needed. Vehicle stability and traction control systems work hard to keep you on your intended path. The tire pressure monitoring system helps keep your tire pressure safe. Additional Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Your Lexus may also include a digital rearview mirror that lets you see what's behind your vehicle, even when the cargo area of your Lexus is full. Parking sensors are designed to help you get your Lexus into tight spots or warn you of obstacles around your vehicle that you may not see. A blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert warns you about vehicles in your blind spot during lane changes. It also warns you of objects behind your vehicle when in reverse. Lexus Safety System The Lexus Safety System + is the base safety suite from Lexus and comes with the following safety and driver-assistance features: Pre-Collision System With Pedestrian Detection Using radar and camera capabilities, your Lexus can detect an impending collision and alert you to it or apply the brakes in certain situations. The Lexus forward collision mitigation system includes pedestrian detection to locate pedestrians in the daytime and low-light conditions, as well as bicyclists in daylight. When an impending collision, bicyclist, or pedestrian is detected, this driver assistance feature can help steer your vehicle out of the way or apply the brakes to bring your Lexus to a complete stop. Lane Departure Alert Lane departure alert uses your vehicle's camera system to detect the visible yellow and white lines on the roadway to help keep your vehicle in your lane. If you start deviating from your lane, this feature will visually and audibly alert you and remind you to check your position and adjust as necessary. Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist The added feature of steering assist to the lane departure alert not only alerts you visually and audibly to check your lane position, but it can also gently steer your Lexus back into your lane. Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist and Lane-Keep Assist Lane-keep assist, added to the lane departure alert with steering assist, is used when your dynamic radar cruise control is on to help keep you in the correct lane. You must be holding the steering wheel for this feature to work. Intelligent High Beams Your Lexus can automatically change from dim to bright headlights using intelligent high beams, allowing you to keep your focus on the road ahead. When your Lexus detects headlights or taillights ahead of you, it will switch from high-beam mode to low beams to keep from blinding other drivers on the road. High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control When you set the cruise control on your Lexus, the high-speed dynamic radar cruise control will automatically maintain a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. This system adjusts your vehicle's speed within a set range, using your in-vehicle camera and a grille-mounted millimeter-wave radar to decelerate when necessary to keep you at a safe following distance. All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control The all-speed dynamic radar cruise control system upgrades the high-speed system by detecting other vehicles at any speed and adjusting your speed accordingly. This system works to maintain a safe following distance in stop-and-go traffic, as well as at highway speeds. Lexus Safety System + 2.0 and 2.5 The Lexus Safety Systems + 2.0 and 2.5 add two additional features to the driver-assistance lineup in your Lexus: Road Sign Assist The built-in camera in your Lexus can detect and read road sign information to alert you of specific detected signs to keep you from missing them. Your Lexus will recognize speed limit signs, stop signs, do not enter signs, and yield signs to help keep you safer on the road. Lane-Tracing Assist When using all-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane-tracing assist monitors lane markings to keep you centered in your lane. Lane-tracing assist uses steering assistance to help keep you between the lines. Lexus Safety System + 3.0 You get two additional driver-assistance features on the Lexus Safety System 3.0: Curve Speed Management Added to Dynamic Radar Cruise Control With curve speed management added to dynamic radar cruise control, your Lexus uses radar and cameras to detect upcoming curves and adjust your speed appropriately. This system can lower your speed automatically as you go around a curve. Additional Intersection Support Your Lexus can detect motorcycles, bicyclists, and other vehicles at intersections to help you stay safe when coming off a stop sign or light. Standard Safety Systems for 2022 Lexus Vehicles The Lexus Safety System + is standard on the GX, LC, RC, and RCF. You get the Lexus Safety System + 2.0 on the UX, RX, and RXL. The Lexus Safety System + 2.5 is found on the LX, ES, IS, and LS. The only 2022 vehicle with the Lexus Safety System + 3.0 is the NX. Lexus L/Certified Named Best CPO Program 5 Years In a Row

Not everyone wants a brand-new vehicle. Many dealerships offer great options for quality used vehicles, including certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles. The Lexus L/Certified program stands out as a CPO vehicle option among luxury brands. See why Lexus L/Certified has been named the U.S. News & World Report top pick for the best CPO program for five years in a row. What Is the Lexus L/Certified Program? View Certified Pre-Owned Lexus Vehicles 2023 Lexus IS The Lexus L/Certified program offers unlimited mileage for two years beyond what remains of the original 4-year/50,000-mile new car warranty on a Lexus vehicle. That means you get six years and unlimited miles of limited powertrain and bumper-to-bumper coverage from the date the vehicle was initially purchased. You won't have to pay a deductible if you need to take your Lexus in for a repair during the covered warranty period. Lexus SUVs and cars must pass a 161-point inspection, have 75,000 or fewer miles on the odometer, and be less than seven years old to qualify as L/Certified. Some Lexus dealers can offer CPO deals for financing, including rates as low as 0% on certain L/Certified models. While other luxury brands offer CPO programs, the Lexus L/Certified program is more comprehensive than others. L/Certified vehicles get four scheduled maintenance visits, 24-hour roadside assistance, a service loaner for use during covered repairs, and a trip-interruption service that provides reimbursements for up to $50/day for five days of rental car fees, meals, and up to $200/night for three nights of lodging. The only disappointing feature of the Lexus L/Certified program is that it's non-transferable. Lexus L/Certified Certification Process Lexus vehicles that have fewer than 75,000 miles and are less than seven years old are put through an exhaustive series of examinations by a specially trained technician at your local Lexus dealership. This process helps ensure quality, reliability, and customer confidence, as only the best pre-owned Lexus SUVs and cars qualify and are available exclusively at your Lexus dealer. The 161-point inspection includes a vehicle history and testing on the exterior, interior, cargo area, under the hood, hoist, and road. You can download a copy of the checklist to view the specifics of each category for assurance that you're getting the very best with a Lexus L/Certified vehicle. Lexus L/Certified Financing Lexus Financial Services has programs to purchase or lease a Lexus L/Certified vehicle, including special programs for military personnel and recent college graduates. You can lease a Lexus L/Certified vehicle for 24 to 48 months, depending on the vehicle's age. The lease program is eligible for pre-owned L/Certified vehicles up to four years old. You can trade in your current vehicle toward purchasing a Lexus L/Certified vehicle and get top dollar for your trade. Protection plans through Lexus are also available for many L/Certified vehicles. These extended warranties can help further protect your purchase after you drive off the lot. Various options are available, including: Lexus Extra Care L/Certified Plan. Covers the mechanical breakdown costs after the vehicle's factory warranty expires. L/Certified Prepaid Maintenance Plan. Keeps your L/Certified Lexus running at peak performance. Excess Wear and Use Protection. Protects you from excessive wear or use charges on your Lexus lease return. Guaranteed Auto Protection. Bridges the gap between what you owe and your vehicle's value in the event your vehicle is considered a total loss. Tire and Wheel Protection. Depending on your protection, this warranty can cover your tires, wheels, paintless dent repairs, windshield repairs, and key replacement costs. For more details, contact your local Lexus dealer for current Lexus L/Certified offers in your area. In the Santa Clara and San Jose areas, you can reach out to the knowledgeable team at Lexus of Stevens Creek. What Lexus Models Are Available as L/Certified? What Are The Best Tires For Lexus Vehicles?

You can optimize the performance of your luxury vehicle in a few different ways. One is by choosing tires that match your needs. You could replace aging tires with identical ones, but tires that better suit your needs could easily fit your budget. Here's how to find the best tires for your Lexus vehicle. Visit The Lexus Tire Center When Should Tires Be Replaced? Lexus Wheels Time and mileage are the key factors to consider when deciding whether to replace your tires. Tires degrade over time and with exposure to UV rays, extreme temperatures, and other hazards, making it wise to replace them after five years regardless of mileage. Tires with damage from road hazards need to be replaced right away, no matter how far they’ve driven. Mileage guidance varies depending on driving habits, miles driven, and tire specifications. Some tires can reach 60,000 miles, depending on their specifications. Performance tires have a shorter life span in exchange for road-hugging ability. Uniform Tire Quality Grade specifications for treadwear, traction, and temperature are stamped into the side of tires and provide specs indicating their life span. The higher the treadwear rating, the longer the projected tread life. Traction ratings show-stopping ability in wet conditions, with ratings from highest to lowest specified as AA, A, B, and C. Temperature ratings show durability in extreme heat, with the ratings from highest to lowest indicated as A, B, and C. What Types of Tires Are Available? When looking at replacement tires for your Lexus, you have four types to choose from: Touring and All-Season Touring and all-season tires perform well in dry, wet, and winter conditions and have a longer tread life than other tires. While they serve your car well throughout the year, they don't give the stopping power and traction that snow tires can provide. Performance Performance tires give a better grip and higher speed ratings, offering better handling in both wet and dry conditions and a sporty feel. Performance tires have a shorter life and reduced quality of ride. All-Terrain All-terrain tires can tackle off-road conditions, are durable, and perform well in winter. The tread wears at an acceptable rate, but all-terrain options give less comfort and make more noise on the road. Snow and Winter Snow and winter tires are pliable and give good traction due to specialized rubber formulations designed for low temperatures. Tread patterns maximize handling and stopping ability on icy roads. Tire size is another crucial factor to consider to ensure you have the performance and speedometer accuracy you need. Numbers and letters on the sidewall of a tire show key specifications: Type: P stands for passenger and appears on most tires. Width: Given in millimeters, this indicates the measurement from side to side. Height: This is the height-to-width ratio, or aspect ratio, with lower numbers indicating a faster response when turning. Construction: R is for radial, showing it’s constructed of rubber, fabric, steel, and polyester. Diameter: This indicates the rim size in inches. Load index number: The carrying capacity, with higher numbers indicating a higher capacity. Speed rating letter: This denotes the maximum speed and goes up to 186 mph for high-performance vehicles. An example tire that fits a 2020 Lexus 350 is the P235-65-R18-106T. Should I Replace My Tires With the Original Equipment? It may be tempting to replace your tires with the original equipment your Lexus came out of the factory with. Original-style tires will work fine, but you may want to consider an alternative to those stock tires that were purchased in bulk by the manufacturer based on price and general specifications. Look at other brands and tires that may be better suited to your specific needs. How Do I Choose the Best Tire? Balance performance and budget when choosing replacement tires. For example, let's look at a pre-owned Lexus RX 350 and consider the sample options for budget, mid-range, and higher-priced tires. Budget For 18-inch tires, budget-friendly offerings include the Laufenn S Fit AS, which gives a comfortable ride and a long life span. This model performs well in wet conditions but is only rated fair for snow and winter driving. For 20-inch tires, the Kumho Crugen HP71 gives a comfortable ride and a long life span. This model works well in light snow but isn't recommended for heavy winter conditions. Mid-Range For 18-inch and 20-inch tires, mid-range offerings include the Continental CrossContact LX25, which is highly rated by consumers and gives an extended tread life. This tire has excellent ratings in wet conditions but is only rated fair for snow and winter driving. This mid-range tire is recommended because it balances price and performance. Higher-Priced For 18-inch and 20-inch tires, higher-priced offerings include the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady model. This tire has a special rubber compound for winter driving but still offers a comfortable ride in all seasons, providing great performance all year round. Tires Are a Key Maintenance Item Neglecting necessary maintenance or ignoring warning signs that something is amiss can lead to being stranded or needing significant repairs to correct an issue that could have been an easy fix if caught early. Deferred maintenance can also lead to accidents. Tires need to be in good shape to maintain the safe operation of your vehicle. There are signs of potential problems you can often spot when driving and issues you can see when inspecting your car. Neglected tires can lead to blowouts, poor steering, and reduced gas mileage. Watch for wobbly or uneven performance that could indicate worn tires. Be sure to have tires rotated as recommended by your owner’s manual and keep your tires properly inflated. Watch for wear like thinning tread or cracks, as well as bulges on the tread or sidewalls. Even new tires can have issues, including road damage or air leaks that can cause excess wear or flats. Maximize tire life by maintaining the tire pressure that’s specified on the inside of your driver’s door, noting that the tire pressure stamped into your tire is a maximum pressure amount. Rotating tires every 5,000 to 7,000 miles helps maximize the life span and encourages even wear. Front tires tend to wear faster on front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles. Best Vineyard Getaways Near San Jose, CA

Why drive all the way to Napa Valley in your new Lexus from Lexus of Stevens Creek to enjoy tasting famous wines when you can take a short drive to the outskirts of San Jose instead? San Jose is surrounded by topography and geology that allows for the cultivation of incredible grapes for winemaking. At Lexus of Stevens Creek, we took a look at the local vineyards and identified the best vineyard getaways that deliver on their promise of a great time, great wines, and a great road trip that offers you the best driving experience in your new Lexus. J. Lohr Image by Dale Cruse is licensed with CC BY 2.0 Jerry Lohr left the family farm in South Dakota in the 1960s and took a chance growing vines in the Central Coastal region of California. He selected land with a certain type of soil that was ideal for growing different types of grapes that could be used to produce quality wine. During the 1980s, he discovered that the soil of Paso Robles was perfect for growing varieties of Bordeaux grapes. He focused his efforts on developing vineyards filled with red grape varieties and built a winery and barreling facilities nearby. All J. Lohr's red wines come from the Paso Robles vineyards, but it also bottles Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé. J. Lohr offers guests a tasting experience that includes seasonal and winery-exclusive wines at the Paso Robles location and in San Jose. Reservations are required, and it's suggested that guests plan for a 60-minute experience. Wine tastings are available Thursday through Monday at Paso Robles and Thursday through Sunday at the J. Lohr San Jose Wine center. Loma Prieta Winery Loma Prieta Winery is a boutique winery located in Los Gatos, California, specializing in Pinotage. The winery produces around 3,000 cases of wine each year and was originally founded by Paul and Amy Kemp in 2003. The couple originally produced Pinot Noir but changed course when Paul discovered Pinotage. He proceeded to acquire as many grapes as he could and tore out his Merlot and Cabernet vines. The Pinotage grape is a hybrid developed in the 1930s and is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. The winery produces Pinotage across its 52 acres in Los Gatos while also manufacturing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet, and Petite Sirah. It's currently owned by Chris Arriaga and his daughter Samantha. The tasting room is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons year-round. It's also open on other days, depending on the season. When you visit the winery, you'll be greeted by the sight of Loma Prieta to the southeast and a view of the Monterey Peninsula. There's also a regulation bocce court available for guests to try their hand at the game. It's a wonderful place to experience beautiful views and a type of wine that changes the Pinot Noir game. La Rusticana d'Orsa Drive up to the gates of La Rusticana d'Orsa and you'll swear you've been transported to Italy, not the Santa Cruz Mountains. The vineyard and winery are owned by Frank and Marilyn Dorsa, a couple who have dedicated their lives to creating an Italian villa and a vineyard and winery that produces five grape varieties, including Merlot, Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. These grapes are blended to create an award-winning red table wine. The vineyard holds different wine tasting events throughout the year, including an annual release party of the latest vintage of its signature wine. Each event has its own theme, such as painting while drinking wine, and is held on the winery's beautiful grounds. Guests can walk around the property to experience the beautiful gardens and view the vineyards as they sip the signature wine. Big Dog Vineyards Big Dog Vineyards are a relative newcomer to the area and the only winery located north of San Jose in the Milpitas Hills. The vineyard itself was established in 1997, while the wine and tasting room opened in 2009. It's a boutique winery that focuses on small-batch wines pressed by hand. The vineyard produces red and white wines, including a Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine that uses only Chardonnay grapes and the traditional French méthode champenoise. Other wines include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Zinfandel. The vineyard also offers a selection of dessert wines. Even though the winery produces a large range of wines, it only puts out around 100 cases of each vintage. Guests can make a tasting reservation to try out menus that include a classic mix of red and white wines, all whites or all reds. Events with live music are held most weekends, and a weekly event known as Sunset Fridays is held so guests can watch the sunset while tasting the wines on offer. Alamitos Vineyards Alamitos Vineyards is located in the lower reaches of the mountains in San Jose and is a relatively new winery. One of the principals of the winery was inspired to get into the business by his grandfather's career as a vintner in Portugal. The vineyards are operated by individuals who have a passion for making wine while applying the latest scientific agricultural techniques to the vines. This yields grapes that embody the passion of the growers and the latest in science to enhance the taste of the wine. Alamitos Vineyards is a boutique winery that creates small batches of wine that include Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Touriga, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery focuses on grape varieties that grow well in the local soil and can tolerate the microclimate.
